Image debuts a new creator-owned sci-fi title!

Low #1LOW #1
In the far distant future, the sun’s premature expansion has irradiated Earth, sending humanity to the lowest depths of the seas, hidden within radiation-shielded cities, while probes scour the universe for inhabitable worlds to relocate to. After tens of thousands of years, a single probe returns, crashing on Earth’s surface, a now-alien place no human has seen for many millennia.

Frequent collaborators RICK REMENDER (BLACK SCIENCE, Uncanny Avengers) and GREG TOCCHINI (Last Days of American Crime, Uncanny X-Force) dive into an aquatic sci-fi/fantasy tale following two teams from the last remaining cities undersea as they race to the most unexpected alien world of all - the surface of Earth.

“The Posthuman Project” to screen Saturday at Comic-Con!

Friday, July 25, 2014

“The Posthuman Project” is going to Comic-Con!

The teen superhero film was written by Speeding Bullet co-owner Matthew Price with former “Supergirl” writer (and former Speeding Bullet employee) Sterling Gates; the film stars Kyle Whalen, Collin Place, Lindsay Sawyer, Josh Bonzie, Alex Harris, Rett Terrell and Jason Leyva. Kyle Roberts is the director of the film as well as the VFX supervisor and editor.

Gates, Roberts, Bonzie, Terrell and Place are joining producers Wendy Parker and Sha’ree Green in San Diego for a screening as part of the Independent Film Festival at Comic-Con International.

It’s been a whirlwind to see all the press and attention the film has gotten since being named “Best Oklahoma Film” at deadCenter in Oklahoma City a month ago.

This week, the film was reviewed by Ain’t It Cool News and featured by Newsarama and the Los Angeles Times. In addition, the comic-book prequel, which is for sale at Speeding Bullet Comics, can now also be ordered online. The prequel comic was written by Gates and Price, and drawn by Oklahoma comic-book artist Mario Wytch.

Fans can see the film at Comic-Con for free at 11:35 a.m. Saturday at the Marriott Marquis & Marina. Fans in Oklahoma will have chances to see the film again soon as well: the film will be screened as part of FLY Film Festival in Enid and the Red Dirt International Film Festival in Stillwater. The film is in many ways our love letter to Oklahoma; with a cast and crew comprised of mostly Oklahomans or former Oklahomans, the film is steeped in love for the state. While Pellion City in the film is fictional, our Posthumans and their friends will likely seem familiar to anyone who attended high school in the state.

More info on the film is available at the web site and Facebook page.

Spider-Man 2099 is back!

Wednesday, July 9, 2014

It’s an all-new series from the pages of Amazing Spider-Man!

The book you have been demanding for months finally hits the stands!

Spider-Man 2099 #1SPIDER-MAN 2099 #1
Miguel O’Hara is Spider-Man in the year 2099 but he’s currently stuck in the year 2014. He was stranded here by his father who is the head of an evil corporation called Alchemax in 2099.

But in 2014, Alchemax has just been formed and Miguel has a chance to stop its corruption before it starts!

You’d think being a man out of time would make you a man without enemies, but Spider-Man 2099 is about to discover that he’s not the only one hoping for a better tomorrow, one that might be ensured by The Adjustor eliminating Miguel from the time stream altogether!

Join comics legend (and Spider-Man 2099 creator) Peter David and breakthrough artist Will Sliney (Superior Spider-Man Team-up) for the most adventure you’ll find in a book this side of the twenty second century!

Rocket Raccoon gets his own #1!

Wednesday, July 2, 2014

Speeding is determined to get you ready for the next major comic book blockbuster this summer - Guardians of the Galaxy!

And this week we have three brand spankin’ new Guardians titles for you to devour before the film comes out! Starting with…

Rocket Raccoon #1ROCKET RACCOON #1
It’s an all-new, in-continuity series! As defenders of the cosmos go, Rocket Raccoon has faced his fair share of galactic battles.

He’s been a hero to the weak, a champion of good, a protector of the innocent, a heartthrob to the many intergalactic female species and now - a raccoon on the run?! (I’m sorry, I’m sorry, a “formidable-and-expert-Guardian” on the run. Rocket is NOT a raccoon, okay?)

Rocket’s high-flying life of adventure and heroism may soon be a thing of the past when he becomes a wanted man - and the authorities are not the only one on his TAIL! (We’ll definitely be overusing that pun!)

Superstar creator Skottie Young brings his A-game as writer and artist on the series we’ve been waiting decades for. Because let’s be real, this is the only Guardian of the Galaxy you actually care about. Am I right?
