Writer/artist Ande Parks (“Green Arrow,” “Green Hornet,” “Lone Ranger,” “Capote in Kansas” and more) will be signing at 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at Speeding Bullet Comics, 614 N. Porter Ave. in Norman.
Parks will sign comics from his illustrious career, including his “Lone Ranger” No. 1 - which was set in the area that would become Oklahoma Territory.

Welcome to the first major event of Speeding Bullet’s action-packed September!
INSTANT VILLAINS WEEKEND!
After the success of the “Instant Heroes” event what else could be next but Instant Villains?
“Instant Villains” is a collaboration featuring the Oklahoma Comic Creators. Teams of creators will have an hour to create a super villain using the information provided.
There are two days to take part in this event - 2 p.m. on Sept. 20 and again at 2 p.m. on Sept. 21!
Teams of 1-4 creators each will have one hour to design a super villain and craft an origin. Each creative team will be presented with certain details at 2 p.m. that must be used in the creation of their character.
From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., teams will display their characters, and participants who were featured in the previous “Instant Heroes” collaboration will sign copies of the “Instant Heroes” comic.
In addition, to celebrate comics antagonists, all hardcover graphic novels will be buy one get one free all weekend!
