Oklahoma City comic creator Michael Adams, creator of “Kung-Fu Legume,” will sign from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 17 at Speeding Bullet Comics as part of the store’s 25th anniversary celebration.

Adams recently reported that his comics series from Keenspot is in development for an animated series.

The comic book asks, what happens when a can of beans is jettisoned into space, bombarded by TV transmissions from the Kung Fu Network, then struck by lightning while hurtling to Earth? It’s kung-fu action with a superpowered bean in this comedic adventure from Keenspot.

Adams is helping us celebrate our 25th anniversary month, as Matt & Annette took over the former Norman Archives and Millennium Books on June 8, 1998! Matt had previously worked at the Archives as a high school student and was excited to return to comics retail as an owner, along with Annette, who brought her style and retail expertise to the enterprise as well! Twenty-five years and three kids later we are excited to celebrate the Silver Anniversary of the shop along with longtime manager Dan Nash, who has been part of the Speeding Bullet staff for over 20 years himself!
