‘Supergirl’ is focus of May book club

In connection with the Pioneer Library, Speeding Bullet Comics will host a book club discussion at 6 p.m. May 21.
This month’s book is “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” from Tom King and Bilquis Evely.
The book description is as follows:
Her planet was destroyed. Sent to Earth to protect a baby cousin who never needed saving. Forever living in his shadow. The “Supergirl” to his Superman. The Book Club sessions are hosted by Dave Brown and designed for adults.
‘Art of the Rise of TMNT’ author set for Saturday signing

“The Art of the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” author Colin Stein will be at Speeding Bullet from noon - 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 16!
He’ll be signing his book, answering questions about the show, the Turtles and other items of interest! He’ll also have some exclusive merch on hand, so be sure to make it out on Saturday for this event!

Ink and draw set for May 17!

The latest Norman-based “Ink and Draw” will be held from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at Speeding Bullet Comics, 614 N Porter Ave. in Norman. The event is hosted in conjunction with the Oklahoma Comic Arts Foundation.
All comic-book creators, amateur, professional, and everywhere in-between are welcome. Come to the shop and discuss your comic-book work with other creatives, ask questions or just work on your scripts or drawing! This month, mentors Jeff Provine and Breyden Boyd are set to be on hand to answer questions and review portfolios!
