Speeding Bullet Comics turns 10
Today, Speeding Bullet turns 10 years old. In 1998, Matt and Annette decided to give up the relative safety of jobs at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and return home to Norman to buy the comic-book store Matt had worked at in high school.
The store, which had been the Norman branch of the used bookstore/comic store “The Archives” from 1989-1997 and “Millennium Books” for about a year at that point, was then owned by Lenny Brumley, now the board president of the Toy & Action Figure Museum in Pauls Valley. Annette and Matt both grew up in Oklahoma and wanted to return home at some point. They were also interested in working in the field of comics. Thus, Speeding Bullet Comics was born.
Matt and Annette would like to thank all the staff, customers, friends and family who have made the last 10 years so much fun.
