Free Comic Book Day is a day to explore new worlds, meet unforgettable characters, and share the love of comics with friends and family. On Saturday, May 2, 2026, visit Speeding Bullet to grab selected free titles and discover even more from the world of comics!

Get free comics and take your picture with Superman and other costumed heroes!

Speeding Bullet Comics will also have several comic-book creators on hand to share in the fun!

Scheduled to appear are Michael Adams (Kung-Fu Legume), Breyden Boyd (Shape Man), and S.A. McClung (Displacements: Oasis).

Speeding Bullet Comics co-owner Annette Price will kick off the day with a Norman Education Town Hall, co-hosted with fellow NPS Board Member Alex Ruggiers, at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Development Center at 225 N Webster Ave. (formerly the Norman Public Library).

Those interested can discuss thoughts and ideas about Norman education at the Education Town Hall, then come to Speeding Bullet Comics for free comics on Free Comic Book Day! Speeding Bullet is a sponsor of this Education Town Hall!

This year Speeding Bullet is participating in Free Comic Book Day as well as the simultaneous Comics Giveaway Day — both events will run until 6 p.m. at Speeding Bullet Comics, 614 N Porter Ave. in Norman, Oklahoma! (Some publishers remain Free Comic Book Day publishers; others will be labeled as Comics Giveaway Day.)
