Live the Kirby legend
Wednesday, May 25, 2011
The dynamic team of Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross have taken the unexplored sketches of concepts of Jack Kirby’s classic characters, and turned them into what could easily be the comic event of 2011.
Kirby: Genesis #0 is here!
Don’t think you know Jack Kirby? You probably do! Jack Kirby was a pioneer at Marvel. He co-created characters such as Captain America, Hulk, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, and was responsible for the Fourth World saga at DC.
Kirby: Genesis delves into the massive cast of characters still owned by the Kirby estate. Many of these characters have never been in comics before. Kirby: Genesis is conceived based off Kirby’s never-before-seen private sketches and notes.
Don’t miss this tantalizing prelude to Kirby: Genesis, complete with fully painted interiors. To celebrate, we’ll be offering Kirby Crackle chocolate-chip cookies to everyone who walks in, starting Thursday!
Not sold yet? Kirby: Genesis #0 is only $1!
